Team Building

construction-team-building

Estinclellsdifusió offers Team Building activities designed to strengthen team cohesion by fostering group dynamics, mutual trust, collaboration, and effective communication.

All activities are inspired by our commitment to archaeological heritage. The day begins with a brief historical briefing, followed by a guided visit to the site to immerse your team in its unique environment.

The success of the Els Estinclells Archaeological Complex is a testament to the dedication of our core team, as well as the volunteers and professionals who collaborate daily to bring history to life.

Through our Team Building packages, your group can engage in hands-on experimental archaeology or assist in the site’s ongoing development.

Participants will work in teams, guided by an expert archaeologist who will explain the tasks and facilitate the coordination needed to successfully complete each process.

Package 1. Experimental archaeology

Step back in time through traditional Iberian construction techniques. Participants will tackle unique, non-everyday tasks that require collective problem-solving and teamwork to overcome technical challenges.

Experimental archaeology - Construction

A- Construction:

A.1. Mudbrick making
Master the ancient craft of creating adobes—sun-dried bricks made of mud and straw. A staple of construction from the Neolithic era to the present day.

A.2. Making mud mortar
Discover our “ancient cement”. Mixing earth and water is hard work, but it’s a perfect opportunity for collaboration and shared success.

A.3. Building the house
Get hands-on with the construction of a house: laying stone foundations, setting mudbricks, roofing, and plastering walls.

Bread oven activities

B- Making more bread ovens (different types)

Work together to build various types of mud ovens. This is a true team challenge that leaves a lasting experimental structure for future workshops.

Package 2. Site Development & Stewardship

The goal of these activities is to revitalize the site and enhance the visitor experience.

Improving our facilities allows us to create new educational areas, such as an “arqueòdrom” (archaeology learning site) for students, as well as upgrading our walking paths and picnic areas to benefit all visitors.

In addition, improvements to the route and to the guided tour explanations, together with the creation of a picnic area, will benefit all visitors.

Activities to be carried out:

A. – Creating an arqueòdrom.
B. – Trail development: leveling paths, adding soil, shaping borders, and building stone steps.
C. – Picnic area setup: clearing brush, pruning, landscaping, and construction of seating/access areas.
D. – Restoration and maintenance of the historic silo area.
